Micronutrients, also called trace elements, are essential for plant growth. The essential micronutrients are zinc (Zn) component of many enzymes, essential for plant hormone balance and auxin activity, iron (Fe) component of enzymes, essential for chlorophyll synthesis, manganese (Mn) chloroplast production and enzymes activation, boron (B) responsible for sugar transport and aminoacids production, copper (Cu) component of enzymes and involved with photsynthesis, molybdenum (Mo) involved in nitrogen metabolism and cobalt (Co) cofactor for certain enzymes.
